Dehradun Institute of Technology (DIT) ranks in the top 200 engineering colleges in India.

DIT is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technnical University. DIT offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses in engineering, Management and Computer Applications.

DIT aims at creating knowledge centers in the field of education, training, research and consultancy services thereby creating and adding value to the corporate, society, community and the nation at large.

The 20-acre institute has excellent infrastructure. The library is open for 24-hours and is wi-fi enabled.

All departments has well-equipped labs with latest equipment. DIT’s classrooms are designed to seat 60 students at a time. They are equipped with audio-visual aids and are networked for live presentations. Students are encouraged to make AV based presentations.

The seminar hall has overhead and LCD projectors, multimedia kits, PCs, wireless PA systems and every conceivable tool that facilitates acquisition of knowledge.

Over 200 top-level companies of national and international repute recruit students through campus recruitment. Firms recruiting include Infosys, Satyam Computer Services, TCS, Hindustan Lever, NIIT Technologies, Bajaj Auto Ltd., Pune, Voltas Ltd. Mumbai and TVS Wheels India Ltd.

The institute has hostels each with its own gym. There is also a cafeteria and medical care on campus. Sports plays an integral role at DIT. Facilities for indoor games such as TT, badminton, volleyball, basketball exist and arrangements are made to send students to other colleges for outdoor games such as cricket and football.
