Students who sat for NEET-PG 2012 hope that a verdict before the Supreme Court goes on vacation on May 13.

A verdict is important as the Supreme Court will only re-open on July 1. Counselling to medical colleges ends on May 31.

Some students who took NEET-PG are anxious as the Chief Justice of India, Justice Altamas Kabir, will retire on July 18. They hope that the NEET-PG verdict will be passed his last landmark judgement.

About 90,000 students have been affected by the delay of NEET PG results.

The delay has affected students do not know whether they are to give up their jobs or get a seat in medical school.

Students had taken to expressing their frustration over the delay in results from February 2013. Fed up of the delay, some have now taken to protesting in towns and cities across the country.
