University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the cut-off marks for National Eligibility Test (NET) which was conducted in December.
The cut-off for different categories has been prepared on the basis of the aggregate of all three papers for which the exam was conducted by the UGC.
About 7.8 lakh candidates (7, 78,130) registered for this examination out of which 6, 15,136 appeared. A total of 39,226 candidates have qualified for the eligibility of Lectureship. Out of these 39,226 candidates, 3669 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship.
A merit list of top 15% of the total candidates making a place in the result was prepared, while others have been declared unsuccessful even if they had managed to secure the minimum marks required.
