The NEET-PG case has been listed as item number 4 in court number 1 on March 7 at the Supreme Court.

Mr KKV is expected to speak for approximately 30 minutes today.

It is also expected that lawyers from the Medical Council of India (MCI) will put forward their points today.

It was earlier stated that lawyers from the Medical Council of India would speak from March 12-14.

For some, the wait has driven them to depression. As one doctor wrote on indiancolleges:

I am from a village and need to give financial support to my family Please decide the results soon. We are not able to plan our future or get a job. We don’t know if we got through the exam or do we prepare for the next year’s PG entrance?

About 90,000 students have been affected by the delay in results. Students now hope that a verdict will be reached by next week as the court will be on holiday from March 25-30 on account of Holi and Good Friday.

NEET PG case (T.C.(C)No.98/2012) has been added to the final cause list for February 19. It has been listed as item no. 8 for Court no.1. The court will be in session till 4 pm.

Discussions were held across social media forums and websites carrying live updates of the case. One site suggested that it may take another six to seven hearings before NEET PG students can expect a verdict.

A verdict can only be reached once the Supreme Court releases a final cause list.

The delay in reaching a verdict has led to a lot of stress and uncertainty amongst students who have taken to protests and the social media to express their dismay and anger.
