Two students from IIT-Chennai have rejected South Korean multinational company Samsung’s $1, 50,000 offer (82 lakh).

Nitin Motiani and Sujeet Gholap students of Computer Science BTech graduates turned down the offer.

Sujeet Gholap chose to work with Google and will join Google in October 2012. He will be working at US office of Google.

At IIT- Madras companies that will offer placements to students include luxury car makers Mercedes Benz, Rolls Royce and Toshiba Corporation

Other companies like Bajaj Auto, Procter and Gamble, Walmart, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Boston Consulting Group, Deutsche Bank, Google India, Sony, Shell, Facebook, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, IBM and Samsung Electronics etc will be present for placements. It is expected that about 1,263 students will participate in the first phase of placement from December 1 to 22

The second phase for placements would begin from January 16, 2013.
