The Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), 2013, will be held on June 27 and June 28. The exam will be conducted in 2 shifts.

More than 2000 students will be appearing for the TET exam in the first shift on June 27. The exam will take place at 5 centres.

While in the second shift, the exam will be held only in one centre. Approximately 460 candidates will appear for the exam.

Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India.

TET was introduced by the Government of India in order to improve standards in teaching.

It was held for the first time in 2011.[1] For teachers already working, they are supposed to clear the exam in two years time.  A candidate has to score over 60 per cent to clear the eligibility test.
